“Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy mouth is renewed like the eagle’s”. (Psalms 103:5).
We are NOT our parents we will……..quit our dreadful places of employment to make a way out of no way for peace, passion and happiness. What did you think I was going to say? LOL! Millennials out here creating platforms and lifestyles that generations prior to wanted but majority were so ‘loyal’ to the employer that 20-30 years later they’re still trying to live their best lives. Let’s be real how many of us have parents who quit their jobs or careers solely to accrue a peace of mind and monetize their passion full time? I will wait…that’s what I thought.
Don’t get me wrong the Baby Boomers and Gen X’ers broke their backs to provide us with the audacity to even think that we don’t need a job. However, they didn’t have the guts to trash the retirement plan and create a life plan. These days employers aren’t meeting our standards and our bold derrières out here like “yea, nah son”, negotiating salaries and controlling our options. According to Forbes, “companies don’t seem to be offering what Millennials want as well as what they need to succeed”. Therefore, we go in with our minds made up and if necessary roll out with our heads held high.
As a matter of fact, as much as the ‘Stone Agers’ drilled the importance of post-secondary education, job security & saving money we’ve TOTALLY remixed the game and utilize our natural talents to make money. Speaking of irony not even a decade ago parents dang near wanted to ban us from social media. Well nowwwwww…Millennials have reverse psychologied that thang and employed themselves and others. Don’t get me wrong all web exposure isn’t good money but you get the picture.
As a Y2K’er I’m so proud of us for being daredevils and challenging mainstream creating our own normalcy. Our ‘trends’ & ‘latest fads’ are changing the world.
”We can’t change the world, unless we change ourselves”——Notorious B.I.G.
We are continuously evolving encouraging generations before and after us to dig deeper in themselves to not only invest in 401(k) but to be a little risqué. Time isn’t always our friend and Millennials aren’t afraid of it. We created the epitome of time resistance…..Y.O.L.O.! At this point, most of us are working to fund our dreams, our dreams are funding our lives or our life feels like a dream because we’ve left our jobs. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with traditional 9 to 5 but just know if you’re at work wondering what else is there for you to indulge in..I’m here to confirm there is plentyyyyyy.
Ain’t nothing to it but to do it doesn’t work out, oh well…you didn’t fail you’re just no longer curious. Every experience creates knowledge, knowledge creates belief, what you believe will manifest & what you say will be. Sooo….faith ya self up & P.U.S.H 😁
Let’s just go ahead and be who we were meant to be….(Romans 12:6)
